Richfield, WI, Release: July 24th, 2018 For Immediate Release
Strohwig Industries, Inc. announces 40 years of success by offering the highest quality Custom Contract Machining, Plastic Injection Molds, Die Cast Dies, and Forging Dies to their customers.
Strohwig Industries started in a small farmhouse outbuilding in Polk, WI by Wolfgang Strohwig & Larry Glass. A first generation immigrant from Germany, Mr. Strohwig arrived in the United States in 1961 at 17 years old to be a Tool & Die Apprentice. In 1978, Mr. Strohwig partnered with his brother-in-law Larry Glass to open WG Strohwig Tool & Die. With a single Lucas Boring Bar and 600 square feet of space, a new company was born.
“Our focus has always been on providing the best in service and product while using the newest technologies,” said Mr. Strohwig “even as we grew, that has never and will never change.”
While Strohwig Industries initially focused on providing Tool & Die services, over the last four decades it has broadened its scope to cover all design & build aspects of machining from Plastic Injection Molds to Aluminum Die Cast Dies, Forging Dies and Custom Machining. Strohwig’s desire to constantly meet their customer’s needs is what led them to continuous growth over the past 40 years.
In 2011, WG Strohwig Tool & Die became Strohwig Industries to reflect the growing number of services the company offered.
“Our customers range from Automotive to Aerospace companies; to Mining and Oil & Gas (including fracking), and many more industries. Our superior quality makes us the perfect fit for companies in industries requiring high precision in large & heavy tools and custom machined pieces,” said Mr. Glass.
Today, with 180 employees, a 225,000 square foot facility, 56 horizontal and vertical CNC machines, and the ability to handle over 100 tons, Strohwig is poised to handle some of the largest machining in the industry.
“Looking to the future, our ongoing success will depend on implementing the newest technologies, and hiring & training the top people in the industry to deliver the best quality product,” said Mike Retzer, Controller at Strohwig Industries.
As Strohwig Industries continues to lead as one of the nation’s leading tooling and machining manufacturers, their goal is clearly defined: Deliver custom solutions by investing in the latest equipment, technology and manpower needed to create a top quality product that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
That is the Strohwig Advantage.
